Very dry on the palate, almost like a german yeast strain was used, this has some spicy tanginess, some light wheaty characteristics, a bit of ambrosia and fruitcake. Not bad, but not worth $11.99 Sickboy282 (1100), San Diego, California, USA

Flavor is yeasty and filled with honey and cinnamon. Mouthfeel is full but doesn’t linger long. A very beautiful brew. MAP (1089), Lakewood, Ohio, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 20, 2004 Amber color with a thick cream head and lots of things floating around busily in the body. Aroma is sweet and spicy at the same time. Smell of lemon, apricot and apples balanced with coriander and clove. Falvor has a ciderish hint of apples withing a stellar belgian strong. A very warming feel in this combined with an ending bitterness that is slightly grassy and makes this end with a lemony taste. Wonderful beer. gunhaver (1043), Tampa, Florida, USA

Pours a dull ruby color, with a quickly fading white head with no lacing to speak of. Aroma is nice: sweet, bright gorgeous apples, hay, slight funk, caramel, chocolate, pineapple. Flavor is molasses, soft malts, cider, banana, cloves. Soft, watery, easy-going and drinkable. Feels like a saison to me, and should be enjoyed as such. brentfeesh (1039), Gadsden, Alabama, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 6, 2007 When I purchased this beer I was under the assumption (from the store owner) that it was a sour ale. Well, I guess it was a little sour, but in no way was this the Flemish sour I was looking for. Overall I thought it was drinkable but the light sour mixed with the heavier Belgian strong ale influences (fruit, yeast, etc) just did not work for me. I was looking for refreshing and got interesting. dberger624 (1028), Phila, Pennsylvania, USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Apr 20, 2006 Pours to a hazy, burnt orange color, with a thick and creamy white head, and a good carbonation. The nose on this beer is inviting with earthy aromas of yeast, paired with sweet malt, and estery fruit. The palate is soft, with flavors of sweet malt, and ripe estery fruit. This beer finishes with more sweet malt and fruity esters, then ends with a touch of vinous sourness that lingers. Very nice aperitif beer, and one that would match well with many Italian and Belgian dishes. I could see enjoying this one with a cabonara or waterzooi.
