Thin but lasting head, minimal lace. Aroma of leather, oranges, spices, flowers, must and others. Thin to medium bodied, creamy texture and feel that boasts some nice flavors. Hints of citrus mixed with belgium yeasts (quick flash of orval), underlying malts (not too well defined) and lots of hidden complexities, maybe a bit of horseblanket? Alcohol is evident but just a character enhancer, its a bit thin but this is quite enjoyable. beerslayer (753), New Jersey, USA

Fruity nose with some orange notes. Nice creamy texture. The flavor has a fruity and spicy charater that is very Belgian-like. Very nice beer. Sregnar35 (732), Rotterdam, New York, USA

| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 19/20 | Jun 15, 2004 Champagne-esque pop, frothy beyond belief. Very fruity aroma, something like bubblegum, vanilla, nectarines, with a hint of hazlenut. Loads of sediment in the ensuing yeast storm. Decent palate, very silky yet robust feel that stirs echoes of Belgium’s better selections. This ambrosial mélange embodies the etheral countenance of an accomplished brewer. I dare say it is the best thing since chewable liqour. OlivierMTL (711), Montréal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 2, 2005 Updated: May 3, 2005Couleur ambrée tirant vers l’oranger, orné d’une faible mousse brune pale pleinement diminuante. Alcohol well concealed. Floaties are a little unappetizing. Tastes almost Belgian in mouthfeel. Engelsmann (653), Copenhagen, Denmark
