| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 11, 2007 Poured a hazy amber color with a thin off-white head. The aroma was dusty and yeasty with some lightly tart notes to the malt. The tartness was not so much sour but more citrusy. The flavor was lightly citrus and tart over a fruity malt. The finish was clean but tart. It seemed to be both wet and dry at the same time. Skyview (4057), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 26, 2008 Sampled at BDR’s tasting and shared by BDR, formerly brewfiend. Pours a semi-hazy light orange amber brew with plenty of particles and a thick white head that slowly dissipates to a thin white head and some sticky lacing. Aroma of light white bread and multi-grain wheat malt, some yeast, apricots, a touch of peach and some white wine. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonated with flavors or apricots, white bready malt, some grassy hops and a touch of herbal spice. Finish is semi-dry with a little spice bite that slowly disappears after the finish. Ughsmash (4046), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 29, 2009 750mL bottle, don’t see a date on it. Poured bright, fiery orange with a rather short cap of white head.. didn’t look great overall, but the color and clarity were there. The aroma opened with a huge dose of maple syrup that threw me off.. aged caramel rolled in and supported apricot, banana, and peppery yeast character.. smelled thick and syrupy (if smells can carry those textures). The flavor had caramel, toffee, and brown sugar at the core with a blend of light and darker fruits surrounding.. yeast gave a white peppery kick, but the sweetness kept it at bay.. fruit skin sourness with a resiny texture was laced throughout.. the sourness was refreshing on the otherwise sweet finish. Medium-plus bodied with a thick texture on the palate.. balance was quite good, and this brew grew on me as it progressed. Very good stuff. Sammy (4028), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Hazed amber red with large chunks floating about. Small, thick creamy top.3+
Aroma: Rich ,sweet malts , light hop tap. Good gentle ale.7+
Medium bodied, wet woody touches, slightly musky. Mineral-earthy notes. Yeasty, earthy. Clear and interestingly brewed. I love the set up. Neat hybrid.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Nov 7, 2003 This brew poured a large head of fine to large sized white colored mostly lasting bubbles that left behind a very poor lace and a yeasty carbonated hazy orange brown colored body. The aroma reminded me of a fruity apricot and the mouthfeel was very smooth with a slight tingle to it. The flavor is doughy, malty, sweet, and a tad on the chewey side. All-in-all, it is a fine brew worthy of a mid 3 scale rating. Braudog (3770), Dayton, Ohio, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Jul 9, 2009 Shared bottle with fellow beer lovers at Ol Factory Cafe near Monterey CA. Wow. This is like a super dry wine, quite cloying. I really enjoyed this, strong, vaguely fruity, but not at all a beer-like beverage, more like a classic apertif. Very, very good. (#3593, June 2009)
