Commercial Description:
The masterpiece of the brewery. The beer that mostly encountered the favour among the customers at Le Baladin. Although one wouldn't believe that, it's the most alcoholic among all the productions. It originated from an old recipe created toward the end of the '800 following the style of the belgian abbey beers. Intense aroma of warm flowers, apricot and banana and hints of bitter almond. Agreeable, refreshing and quenching taste of apricot in syrup, almond cake and citrus fruits. Excellent the use of belgian selected hop during the fermentation process. This beer matches perfectly with ripen cheeses, biscuits and almond sweets.

75cl bottle @ YNWA. Pours clear amber with massive chunks. Very ugly. Nose is sweet. Baking powder, yeast, toffee, fruits and caramel. Full bodied. Very tasty!

(Bottled, 0.75l) Almost clear amber with lots of floating yeast particles and a small, firm head. Quite sweet aroma with caramely malt, sugar and strawberries. Flavor is sweet, grainy and yeasty with a hint of tartness, but overall more in common with barley wine, than a Belgian Strong. Some alcohol present in the finish. Medium body, slightly thin despite the sugar. Medium, slightly foamy carbonation. A substitute for sweet dessert wine (with a sweet strawberry cheesecake, maybe), but not that enjoyable or complex as such.

Metallic notes and some belgian yeast funk in the aroma. Cloudy amber, low creamy head, champagne carbonation. Sweet fruit salad - Pineapple, oranges and peaches - much nicer after you let the carbonation go a bit. Sweet and sticky and hides its strength well. Candy peach aftertaste.

Light orange color with no head. Aroma of orange peel and hay. Caramel and malted barley flavor, finishing with some sweet oranges. Not much going on, but decent.

(75 cl bottle from Systembolaget, thanks to deft!) On November 26, 2008. BB APR 2010. Cloudy, particle filled, orange color, small frizzy white head. SWeet, floral, sugary, alcohol, caramel scent. Caramel, raspberry, sweet, alcohol, yeasty taste. Bubblegum aftertaste, like classic "Hubba Bubba". Bubbly, frizzy, moussy mouthfeel, like champagne. Feels like a mix of Swedish soft drinks "Trocadero" and "Portello", with more emphasis on "Portello". Low bitterness.

Bottled from Systembolaget. Hazy amber with a large head. Vinous aroma with toffee and fruits. Loads of tropical fruits in the flavour. A bit too much alcohol present.

Bottle, thanks to larsniclas. Golden color, ok offwhite head. Fresh fruity aroma, tropical fruits, peach and some toffee. Fruity, malty flavor, some yeast, some alcohol.

Bottled. Dark, hazy amber/orange colour with diminishing head. Fresh malty aroma with citric notes and bit of apricot. Very much Belgian without being that yeasty. Smooth and malty in flavour, with caramelly backbone. Very clean flavour profile. Belgian alright but without that bold character from yeast or spiciness.
