Commercial Description:
The masterpiece of the brewery. The beer that mostly encountered the favour among the customers at Le Baladin. Although one wouldn't believe that, it's the most alcoholic among all the productions. It originated from an old recipe created toward the end of the '800 following the style of the belgian abbey beers. Intense aroma of warm flowers, apricot and banana and hints of bitter almond. Agreeable, refreshing and quenching taste of apricot in syrup, almond cake and citrus fruits. Excellent the use of belgian selected hop during the fermentation process. This beer matches perfectly with ripen cheeses, biscuits and almond sweets.

750 ml green bottle poured a hazy orange with fishys and a lasting creamy ivory head. Aromas of sour citrus, apple, melon, light straw and light spice. Palate was medium bodied and crisp with a lightly dry slightly tart finish. Flavors of sour citrus, aplle, apricot and light spice with a smooth lightly dry lightly tart fruity finish.

Bottle aged approx 2 years. Pours a lightly hazy really nice robust orange with a large foamy/creamy off white head that left lots of nice lacing. Small floaties. Aroma was very floral at first, followed by a nice orangey touch, then some malty sweetness, Belgian fermentation esters are present, Lightly peppery and spicy, getting a bunch of various fruits including some mango and other tropical fruits and a bit earthy. Flavor of bready malt, yeast, Belgian yeast esters, light spicy notes, some citrus, a touch of some tartness, apricots and caramel.

When poured, the head was of medium size, creamy, smooth, ivory with fine-medium sized bubbles that was mostly diminishing. The body was carbonated, cloudy, and yeasty with an orange-brown hue.The aroma was fruity especially of pineapple. The flavor was sweet, sour, a little acidic, and bitter. The palate was fairly smooth and medium bodied. The lacing was of fair degree.

Pours a reddish orange with a medium tan head. There are millions of mini floaties suspended in the body. It looks like pepper. Nose is light spice and sugar but not much else. The tongue is sweet as well but fruit and spice make up the rest of the flavor. I do not detect the alcohol whatsoever. Very smooth mouthfeel and finish. Pleasant beer.

Bottle. Hazy brown beer, lots of flavour. Sweet fruit, marzipan, nuts and spices. Not too exiting, really.

Marcello’s Wine Market, Baton Rouge, La - 1 pt 9.4 fl oz bottle. Pours a murky, medium orange with a thin, but sticky white head - good lacing. Aroma is slightly funky, some overripe fruit notes, model glue and dried apricots. Flavor shows a little promise, starts off with a bit of green tea, finishes with some dried fruit notes - apricots again - like in the aroma, but nothing really jumps out. Finishes slighlty metallic. Mouthfeel is slighlty thick and sticky. Expected more.

Dark orange colored with cloudy appearance. Little yellow head. Toffee and lemon dominates in aroma, mild alcohol, apricot and hops also here. Medium bodied. Flavor is similar with apricot and sweet fruits, mild alcohol also here. Aftertaste has mild alcohol with sweetness still lasting.

Thin offwhite head quickly disappears. Amber body. Fruity caramelly aroma with mild sweetish notes. Dense licorice and cocos taste with herbal caramelly notes. No real aftertaste. Nice! One of the best Italian micros so far. (0.3l draft at Isola della Birra.)
