May 10, 2005 This is a fine example of a belgian abbey-style ale with rich aromas and flavors of dark fruit. Well balanced and recommended except for the price- around $14 or $15 if I remember.

Jul 13, 2007 Orange hazy color, head explodes out of the bottle. citrusy, yeasty bready aroma. Carbonated palate. Malty taste with some spiciness and banana.

May 22, 2006 Bottle. Pours hazy orange with a huge whitish head and an intense pillar of bubbles from the bottom of the glass. The aroma has quite a bit of tangerine, some raisin, a little bit of bread, and some faint earthy alcohol. The flavor is quite well balanced, with some cookies, flowers, zest, honeycomb, and maybe a bit of cedar. The finish is quite subtle, including sugar, raw flowers, and an earthiness that holds over into the aftertaste. While far from the best constructed of this style, this is very very drinkable.

Jan 1, 2008 From a good looking bottle purchased at Belmont Station in PDX, OR--Poured a very very hazy orange-copper body with an initially big but quickly dissipated head. Well carbonated body with a thin vinous mildly floral nose. Citrusy and yeasty. Quite mild; alcohol is well masked. Very nice beer to open for New Years Eve!

Jan 15, 2006 Very pear like. Nice pear like flavor. It is a sour type beer. It is a sour beer. Though a good sour.It is a sour beer with a hint of pear, which is a cheap fruit. Carbonated pear. I would drink a bottle among friends.

Nov 7, 2009 Sample @ Coles Italian Ber Tasting. deeper golden pour. Notes of rich caramel malts, toffee, brown sugar, nutty. Floral flavors add interesting aspects. Fuller mouthfeel & nice malty richness. Nice beer

Aug 20, 2006 Pours a murky deep orange with a white head that falls to a film. A sour fruit aroma. The flavor is slightly tart. Sweet malts upfront with a fruity sourness of cherries & pears on the palate and a late raisiny finish. Refreshing and balanced.
