Commercial Description:
The masterpiece of the brewery. The beer that mostly encountered the favour among the customers at Le Baladin. Although one wouldn't believe that, it's the most alcoholic among all the productions. It originated from an old recipe created toward the end of the '800 following the style of the belgian abbey beers. Intense aroma of warm flowers, apricot and banana and hints of bitter almond. Agreeable, refreshing and quenching taste of apricot in syrup, almond cake and citrus fruits. Excellent the use of belgian selected hop during the fermentation process. This beer matches perfectly with ripen cheeses, biscuits and almond sweets.

very deep golden color, thick and creamy white head....lasting, no lacing though. aroma is very vinous, lots of buttery chardonnay notes, oak barrel notes, and an earthy grapey quality, flavor is not all that vinous, somewhat earthy, a little spicy in the finish, flavor is not all that much like the aroma...night and day. there are mild fruity and caramel in the flavor as well....interesting enough.

Strong fruity and floral aroma. Flavour is apricot like but this has much more bitterness than most Belgian Strongs or dubbels.

Pours a reddish orange with a medium tan head. There are millions of mini floaties suspended in the body. It looks like pepper. Nose is light spice and sugar but not much else. The tongue is sweet as well but fruit and spice make up the rest of the flavor. I do not detect the alcohol whatsoever. Very smooth mouthfeel and finish. Pleasant beer.

Dark orange-amber; yeast all in suspension; good yellowish head. Nose is fruity (kaki-fruit?), estery, yeasty and a bit oppresive. Taste is fruity again, slight tarty-sourness. Well-bodied, creamy too. fruity aftertaste. This is a good rich beer, but not out of the world - completely paling against the Solera version of the same beer.

Orange color, light lacing & little head. Nose is yeasty with esters & failed hops. Decently performing malts but shut down but the tangy carbonation.

Bottled. Dark, hazy amber/orange colour with diminishing head. Fresh malty aroma with citric notes and bit of apricot. Very much Belgian without being that yeasty. Smooth and malty in flavour, with caramelly backbone. Very clean flavour profile. Belgian alright but without that bold character from yeast or spiciness.

750ml bottle, age unknown. cloudy caramel amber colored body, some particulate matter suspended. nose is honey coated apricots, mild, floral bananas, mild peach, mild yogurt and a light note of cigarette tobacco (unsmoked, not ashy or burnt). chewy and full texture, syrupy and sweet throughout, hints of reduced honey with lemon zest and lavender, along with a pale and muted notebook paper flavor (yeast). good but not great.
