rudolf (1734), Buffalo, New York, USA Nov 7, 2009 Bottle @ Cole’s Italian Beer Tasting. Gold, next to no head. Some lemon & light malt but very little aroma. Flavor is also very restrained - a little yeast, some pils malt, light spice/pepperiness. swoopjones (1862), Buffalo, New York, USA Nov 7, 2009 Sample @ Coles Italian Beer tasting. Pours a witish yellow blonde with a small white head. Dry fruitiness, medium spice. seemed more wit like than a sison but very very tasty & drinkable. Very nice lefossoyeur (44), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Oct 16, 2009 Hazy blond with a thin white head. Nose of hay and a little grainy note. Body is very thin with gentle grainy backbone. Light aftertaste, almost unpleasant wet grain, barnyard feeling, Quite ordinary blonde beer and in my opinion far from being a Saison.
NB: The bottle indicated best before september 2009. Will give it a try with a fresher bottle next time. hobbersr (393), Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada Aug 5, 2009 Pours a glowing yellow with a pillowy white head. Very citrusy nose with spice and yeast. Lemon, orange, bread, mushrooms and coriander. Decent mouth feel. Nice beer. bierkoning (5985), La Tropica, Netherlands Jul 13, 2009 Bottle from Nightfall, thanks! Best until 3-09. Vinous aroma with grapes, pepper and citrus. Malty, peppery, slightly perfumed sweetish flavor. Hints of melon and honey. Vinous notes. Excellent, maybe a bit too perfumed. Dedollewaitor (3622), Odense, Denmark Jul 13, 2009 Updated: Jul 14, 200975cl bottle @ Ca De Vin, Millesimo. Pours hazy deep golden with a handsome creamy white head and lacings. Nose has loads of malts. Lots of spices and exotic fruits. Orange peel, pineapple, Yeast, coriander, ginger, caramel, baking powder. Sweet but with a great level of freshness. Full and smooth palate. Ends dry. Nice and well balanced. It works well. JCB (1713), Durham, North Carolina, USA Jun 6, 2009 750ml from State Line. I really enjoyed this one. A crisp and effervescent pour, golden with some orange at the edges, and with some bangin’ champagne-like carb. Strong aroma, with tropical fruits meeting spice for an appealing nose. Very crisp mouthfeel, and the spices in particular emerge nicely in the beer, with coriander and especially ginger coming on strong in the finish. Good stuff! alexgurac (11), lugano, Switzerland Jun 6, 2009 poco saison sia i profumi poco speziati e l’amaro che non si percepisce la rendono una birra troppo normale
