Jul 13, 2009 Updated: Jul 14, 200975cl bottle @ Ca De Vin, Millesimo. Pours hazy deep golden with a handsome creamy white head and lacings. Nose has loads of malts. Lots of spices and exotic fruits. Orange peel, pineapple, Yeast, coriander, ginger, caramel, baking powder. Sweet but with a great level of freshness. Full and smooth palate. Ends dry. Nice and well balanced. It works well.

Jun 6, 2009 750ml from State Line. I really enjoyed this one. A crisp and effervescent pour, golden with some orange at the edges, and with some bangin’ champagne-like carb. Strong aroma, with tropical fruits meeting spice for an appealing nose. Very crisp mouthfeel, and the spices in particular emerge nicely in the beer, with coriander and especially ginger coming on strong in the finish. Good stuff!

May 30, 2009 750ml bottle: Golden yellow pour with a pillowy white head. Very nice aroma of spicy yeast, honey malt and earth. Some alcohol rounds out the nose. The body is really peppery, which is nice. Some rye adds to the multi-dimensioned body. A very interesting take on the style. Saison is one to go to the fringe with and this beer certainly does that.

May 16, 2009 Bottle: poured a light cloudy light copper color ale with a large pure white foamy head with good retention but minimal lacing. Aroma of coriander and zesty refreshing and overall dry hops is very enticing. Taste is a nice mix between some nice Belgian malt, some coriander and a hoppy dry finish that is very well balanced. Body is quite full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Well balanced between malt, hops and spices with some interesting esters.

May 10, 2009 Bottle. Hazy yellow body with a pillowy white head. Spicy aroma with notes of toasted grain, herbs, grass and some earthiness. The flavor was moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finished lightly sweet , moderately bitter and dry. Medium body with a watery, but very smooth texture and lively carbonation. Peppery flavor with a hint of nutmeg ride atop the malts which take a backseat to everything else going on. This saison is very comfortable on the tongue, yet finishes with a bite. Excellent in its complexity and sophistication.

Apr 7, 2009 Hazy amber with big head. Taste is a fuzzy mix of light malt and lots of spices that are hard to put your finger on. A little vanilla, lemongrass, and floral hops. Thin. Just kind of odd....not awful, but not mind blowing.

Mar 13, 2009 75 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with a huge white head. Aroma is mild spiced, caramel/biscuit and light yeasty fruity. Spiced to floral flavoured with a mild sweetness and vague yeast touch. Floral from back of the nose into the finish. Medium dry to slight sweet finish.
