Pours a clear dark copper brew, thick and syrupy with no head. Aroma of rich caramel, fruity character, some aged wood, raisined prunes and plenty of alcohol to burn the nose. Taste is oily, thick, no carbonation with flavors of rich caramel malt, some brown sugar and a touch of molasses. Finish is strong alcohol warmth with a sticky caramel malt flavor. Smells of sour cherries, some nuttiness and residual sugar. Tastes of creamy malt, cherries, lots of tarte qualities. Mouthfeel is thick and velvety with a nutty sugary finish.
