Cask, The Crown, Nuneaton. Pale straw beer with a full (wheat?) haze. woodsy and gooseberry-like hop aroma. Smells alright. Almond, more wood, mealy sweet corn afters, vanilla beyond. Some closing piney harshness and acidity. Not really sure what this beer is trying to be. It’s odd, edgy, stylistically confused, and OK.

Cask gravity at SIBA BF, Paddock Wood. Pale gold, watery in mouth. Horrible. ON the turn perhaps. Just about the worst beer of an excellent festival.

A Mes rate: cask at the Hop Farm festival.
Golden colour with an oily film. Very grainy and floral with a strong barnyardy earthy note. Strange whiskey note in the finish. Not great.
