Cask gravity @ Reading Beer Festival 2008.
Clear dark amber color with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, chocolate. Flavor is moderate sweet and light light bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. (030508)

Cask. Quite malty flavour. Good, dark, roasted malts. Mild carbonation, giving good creaminess.

A Mes rate: 50cl bottle from Kris Wines.
Mid brown with a slight red hue and a off white film. Bland aroma. Slightly more character in the flavour. Tangy, hoppy, a little coffee and a sharp bitter finish. This is actually a blend of the Mild and Wassail so how they can claim it’s a porter I’m not sure. Whatever it’s nothing too special.

Cask conditioned at Far From the Madding Crowd, Oxford. A Porter? is that what it was meant to be? My description would be more of a strongish mild, I found some nuttiness in the malt with a slightly cloying sweetness and finishing off with a fleshy fruit flavour. Not overly impressive but nothing bad either.
