mjg74 (1772), La Mesa, California, USA Oct 5, 2006 Tap, O’Brien’s. This brew pours a dark amber color. Aroma is fairly smokey. This reminds me of a barbeque or something. Good smokey flavor up front. Followed by a little bit of a hoppy bitterness. A bit of malt as well. goldtwins (3731), Nesconset, New York, USA Feb 5, 2007 Draft @ homebrew shop. Poured a clear dark copper color. The aroma had a great balance of mild smoke, fruitiness and caramel malt. Notes of cereal as well. The flavor had mild but obvious smoke with a crisp malt. Hoppy finish. JorisPPattyn (4275), Antwerpen, Belgium Apr 24, 2008 Draught Fine head over copper-chestnut coloured beer. Smokey nose, slightly phenolic, Lapsan Souchong tea; Sweet and smoked - a bit too sweet, somehow molasses-like, and again Lapsan, as well as some smoked ham. Reasonably bodied, quite smooth and slick. WeeHeavySD (1711), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA Jul 8, 2008 Taster @ Home Brew Mart. smokey nose smoky and malty body overall pretty nice all around. Not as bad as the percentile woudl suggest. kp (6200), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Date: 11/30/2006
