mcberko (123), British Columbia, Canada Nov 8, 2009 On tap, pours a copper colour. Citrusy hops, with a bit of orange and maybe a hint of other fruits. Very good IPA. travita (1851), Frisco, Texas, USA Nov 6, 2009 The look is copper colored, nice off white head, and clear. The smell is tropical fruits, hops, caramel, and nice. The taste is hops, some bitterness, caramel, fruits, citrus, and good. arminjewell (100), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Nov 5, 2009 Citrusy IPA that finishes good and bitter, a good, better than normal style California IPA. Very drinkable and good! Glouglouburp (2778), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Oct 30, 2009 In short: Plenty of caramelized malts and plenty of citrusy and resinous hops. Above average American IPA archetype.
How: Bottle 22oz. Consumed fresh a few weeks after purchase.
The look: Clear golden copper body topped by a small beige head
In long: The pleasant hoppy nose is mostly citrusy with also some resinous, floral and coniferous notes. Smooth body with a soft carbonation. Rich smooth caramel followed by a citrusy and resinous hopping. The bitterness is of medium-high intensity but it is never aggressive with enough smooth juicy citrus flavour to offset the rougher resinous flavour. This beer sure does not re-invent the style, it actually feels very common, but this is the type of well done IPA I can drink all night long and get myself as wasted as a green party vote in Kansas. sirpsycho (342), Murrysville, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 24, 2009 Bottle. Pours a hazy orange/amber, small off-white head. Hops, sweet malt and pine dominate the aroma. More of the same within the flavor profile, really nice blend of the three. Finish is bitter, dry and hoppy. marcus (1821), Sacramento, California, USA Oct 23, 2009 This orange-copper ale poured with a decent off-white head and a strong citrus and pine aroma. There is a hearty caramel flavor infused with lots of bittering hops, resulting in a very satisfying drink, though more so for hopheads. kimcgolf (822), Dacula, Georgia, USA Oct 20, 2009 Pours from the bottle to a hazy golden-orange color with thick white head that lingers well and leaves okay lacing. From the start, the nose is a pleasant hoppy citrus (mostlyu grapefruit and lemons), and the mouthfeel full and tangy. Taste accentuates the citrusy hops of the nose, and the finish is slightly dry and bitter, as I would expect.
A darn good beer from a brewer we can’t get much from in Atlanta. alobar (1006), Harleysville, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 16, 2009 Clear orange amber color with a tall white head. Aroma of citrus, hops, and some pine. Flavor is mild-well-balanced with grapefruit, hops, and some caramel. Well done.
