Jun 16, 2009 Bottle thanks to ericandersnavy. Pours a clear amber with beige head. Aroma is malty, hoppy, some grapefruit. Flavor is nice and malty, citrus, pine, some grapefruit. Mouthfeel is medium body with medium-high carbonation. Overall, pretthy nice! Good shit!

Jun 16, 2009 On tap at Rattle n Hum. Nice sweaty hop aroma and an attractive reddish pour. The flavor is malty and sweet, but well hopped too. No shortage of anything in this one.

Jun 15, 2009 Poured a dark gold almost copper color with off white head lots of lacing piney hop aroma ... lots of flavor piney and citrus with a nice dry hop aftertaste a great beer not filling hard to believe its only 6% Would do this one anytime

Jun 14, 2009 bottle thanks to weeheavySD. poured a gold with a white head and left lacing. aroma of citrus, pine, and sweaty socks. flavor was pine and grass. light body and high carbonation. i was surprised it held up this well sitting in my closet for about 3 months.

Jun 13, 2009 Believe it or not, a step down from their amber ale. Very nice citrus pine aroma. Pours amber with a big fluffy head. Fkavor is hoppy with a nice malt balance. Very good dry finish.

Jun 4, 2009 Bottle acquired in a trade with Turdferguson. This pours a copper color with a nice thick frothy off-white head with some decent staying power. A bunch of sticky lacing after each sip. The aroma is grapefruit hops combined with caramel. Flavor shows resin and piney hops, herbal notes, with a gradual hop bitterness. This is really balanced with solid malt support with quite a bit of caramel showing, especially in the finish. Very good. Thanks Sam!

Jun 4, 2009 This is absoutely an exceptional IPA! I sampled this from a bottle courtsey of the Craft Ale House. This IPA pours a clear and beautiful copper color with an off-white head. The head left a sticky and cascading lace around the glass that was really something to behold as I enjoyed this massively great IPA. The aroma featured notes of grass, earth, caramel, bread, grapefruit, black pepper and cumin. The flavors were excellently balanced, with tones of spicy hops, grass, lemon, grapefruit, bread and yeast. The finish was malty with a smooth texture of spicy hops, caramel and a perfect touch of dry grapefruit and orange. This is one of those bottles that you wish could last forever. I can’t wait to try more beers from Ballast Point! This is a very excellent IPA!
