Tasted wedding night, one among many. My new favorite ipa. Great floral flavor, just the right amount of bitterness. No unpleasant weedy aftertaste. Needs another taste to pick apart. 4-23-09 Tasting it again to really analyze it, I still love it, it’s still my favorite IPA. Maybe I’m biased from living in San Diego. It’s a great IPA with a heavily floral and resiny hop flavor that mirrors the aroma. I also recognize a nice roasty flavor that I didn’t notice before. The finish leaves a bitter resiny pine taste. Very full, almost a bit syrupy mouth feel. This may have a different tinge since it’s been "aged." I may have lost some of the impact of the fresh hops.

bomber. brilliant pour... deep golden/amber color with a huge 3 finger white fluffy head. nice citrus hop aromas - but too muted. an interesting IPA... way to malty for me... I would like to see the hops come through more. solid body over the palate with some bitterness on the tip and back. very smooth...

Bottle@home Apperance: Lovely golden brown with a nice, creamy, white lace that sticks to the glass. Aroma: Caramel, Hops, Pine, Fruit Flavor: Vegetables, Exotic fruit, Caramel, Herbs. Palate: Nice sweet initial taste of caramel and bread and ends with a fruity bitterness. Yessir! A very drinkable ipa with a nice hop-profile. More please!

Bottle @ EBF 2008. Heavy aroma of peaches and grapefruit. Flavor is rich malty with a distinct peach, grape bitterness and some caramel. Well balanced, pleasant, long finish.

Sampled at EBF2008. Pours an amber beer with a white lasting head. The aroma is citrus (american c-hops). The flavor is very good, with grape from hops. Leaves a good hoppy mouthfeel. Very good IPA.

Clear amber colour, off-white head. Aroma is bitter hoppy, with grapefruits. Flavour is smoother, with fresh hops and malts.

On CASK at O’Brien’s. Appearance is a murky amber-orange hue, thin layer of bubbles and no lacing (cask). Smell is fresh green hops, heavy orange/citrus emphasis, some raw pale malts, honey sweetness rounds it out. Taste is a perfect mix of malts and orange-forward hops, some sour grapefruit and cotton candy in the middle, finishes smooth and bitter. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied, watery-to-slick texture, mild carbonation (cask). A nice and sweet IPA that hold up well in the cask version, low alcohol presence in the session range, the hops shine through but there is great balance here.
