| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 18, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours copper orange with sticky beige head. The aroma is pine, mango, and a light honeyish sweetness. The flavor is toasty malt and a disembodied fruitiness, with canteloupe, orange, and mango. At first taste it strikes me as a little more gentle and malty than I thought it would be, but it finishes with a strong piney bitterness that lingers into an aftertaste of wood and grass. Pretty good. golubj (1289), Sunnyvale, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 17, 2008 Bottle. Nice orange pour, some white head that dissipated quickly. Nice citrus, orange peel, and pine hop aroma, The flavor is just like the aroma, lots of orange peel / grapefruit-like bitter flavor. Some resin and pine in the back. Nice ipa... I think this was a good year for hops b/c all the CA IPAs have it going on. LtDan (512), LA - Originally from South NJ!, California, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 15, 2008 Bottle. Clear orange colour with a fairly large whie head and a good lacing. Sweettish taste of malts and fruits with a good heavy hoppy finish with notes of citrus and flowers. Good beer. vyvvy (2059), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 14, 2008 Pours clear copper with an off-white rocky head. The aroma has grapefruit / floral hops with some pine and some malt for the backbone. Medium body that has a bit of roughness with some moderately harsh carbonation on the finish. The flavor starts with lots of hoppiness ~ grapefruit, light pine, woodiness, caramel malt backing things up. There are some oxidized characteristics but this is supposed to be fresh. The finish shows more oxidization and is quite harsh. A decent beer, but didn’t live up to the hype.
