Lots of fresh cut grapefruit and citrus dominate the flavor. Finishes bitter with sticky grapefruit resins on the tongue, but amazingly drinkable. Terrific offering and exemplary of the style. twitcher (293), framingham, Massachusetts, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 24, 2008 bottle. Average appearance- bright copper color, middling head that leaves a deent layer. Aromas are big and citrus-y- big shot of grapefruit followed by some sticky earthy notes and smooth sweetness. Flavor follows the nose- big helping of sharp citrus flavors, tangy aggressive bitterness all over the place. Lots of depth and hop flavor for a single hop (centennial) IPA. Smooth toasted sweetbread makes a nice backbone that mostly gets drowned out by the hops. Even and smooth on the palate with normal amounts of carbonation. Great IPA. Nose has fresh west coast hop leaves, cookie dough malt, honey and pine needles. Rounded feel. Flavor is sweet and spicy. Lots of honey-like sweetness in the body, along with butterscotch, citrus, cookie malt and a lemon cookie sharpness. Finish is spicy and piney. A bit sweet for me, but solid. Deep copper pour under a tawny medium brown head with thin ribbons of lacing. Classic Southern California big citrus and pine aroma with flavors that follow along with some added sweetness (peach or apricot). Solid hoppy bite in the dry finish and a silky mouthfeel. Another fine brew from San Diego.

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 19, 2008 Bottled. Golden coloured. Light unclear. Dense off white head. Pine, citrus, light peach, grape and some caramel in the aroma and the flavour. The aroma a bit more subdued than flavour. Is a bit herbal and spicy in the flavour as well. Medium to full bodied. Quite dry. Loads of bitterness in the end, which to some extend is countered by a nice fruity sweetness. Nice one. Could use some of these in Bangalore!!
