Nov 23, 2007 bottle shared at Houston Beer Tasting. Pours a clear orange color with small white head. Aroma of citrus fruit - grapefruit to be exact. Also could smell some floral hops. This had a nice fresh hops taste. Very good. Best IPA with a fresh hop taste I’ve had.

Nov 20, 2007 Pours dark amber-copper, forming little to no foam. Aroma is of malts and hops. Caramel and pine resin too. Flavour is of malts, pines, grapefruit, hop bitterness gets you at the end. Kinda typical west coast IPA, seems a little un refrine, not as smooth as say Green Flash. Still a decent IPA, I could still drink it all night/day long.

Nov 19, 2007 Updated: Jan 7, 2008First Official Houston Tasting. Pours a reddish hue with a large white head and nice lacing. Nose is fresh grapefruit, sweet floral (honeysuckle?), and fresh valencia oranges. Reminds me of the juice at the bottom of a fresh tropical fruit salad. Very wonderful hops and malt integration...and there are a tons of hops. Big hop flavor, but a fresh hop flavor. Grapefruit pith as well. Medium bodied mouthfeel with a very nice finish. One of the best IPAs I’ve had, truly enjoyed.

Nov 3, 2007 22 oz bottle via Hellbilly (thanks!). Pours a hazy orange with a large beige head. Nose is all about the hops...grapefruit, orange, apricot, pine... mmm and it tastes just like it smells with a nice resiny finish. Lots of nice orange/grapefruit in the lingering aftertaste. This is so full bodied that it seems like a IIPA. Carbonation is just right. This is nice!

Nov 3, 2007 Aroma at first is yeast. Pours a hazy golden (almost amber) with minimal head. Head is a white sparse foam. For an IPA it’s pretty malty, but that works - the malts fit in well with the Centennial Hops. Not the greatest IPA, but by no means the worst.

Nov 2, 2007 Bottle shared with mnurda. Light amber in colour with moderate carbonation. Aromas of citrus and floral hops, wet pine, and some deep well-rounded caramel malts. A nice mix of tangerine and pink grapefruit flavors, along with black pepper and more caramel malts, before giving way to a fresh cut pine finish. Nice balance between the weighty malts and the bitterness on the palate. Very good. Big thanks to mnurda for sharing. IPA # 50 for me!

Nov 1, 2007 Good head retention. Aroma is citrusy and hopsy but not as strong as I would expect from an IPA. Not overpowering IPA actually kind of faint. Good hops aftertaste.
