Bottle. Poured a dark clear amber. Hoppy piny nose. Flavor is also hoppy, and sticky with a good balance, but leans to the hops. Solid bitter finish. Another good beer out of SoCal

On cask at Toronado, SD. Pours amber with a thick creamy off-white head. Realy nice hoppy aroma of peppers, citrus and juniper. Low carbonation and very very smooth. Fairly quick finish with lots of pine flavors. Intense beatitudes of hops. Amazing spruce and pine. This is GOOD STUFF on cask.

Im getting a certain amount of nutty notes in both the bouquet and flavour. I suppose thats the malt. Body is a little more than medium I think. Description says 6%abv while the bottle says 7%abv. Ill trust the bottle but it tastes like 6%.

Bottled. Thanks to Lars R. Dark amber colour with a persistent hop-induced foam. Malt stands back in aroma, here the hops speak the loudest about grape, wood and citrus. Flavourwise, it’s malty, but again hops dominate, and I think Centennial plays an important role, with its grapey, resiny character. Mouthfeel is chewy, and the attenuation seems to be average. Good beer! What I don’t get is how can a beer with OG 1070 and FG 1015 be 6%???

Exceptionally good IPA that had a real hop bite without being *too* overbearing. Strong citrus smell, strong malty backbone, and a nice thick head all made this one memorable. Almost reminded me more of a very balance Double IPA.
