gws57 (951), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA Apr 2, 2008 Found this one bottled at Lundeen’s in DeKalb, Illinois. Hazy light copper pour with a nice, fluffy rose colored head. Brassy, piney hoppiness in the nose, balanced with some bright citrus notes. Potent bitterness from intense hoppiness. Grapefruit and orange rind, rosewater from start to finish. Very strong finish, tapers to a strong bitterness at the back of the tounge. Among the finest IPA’s I’ve had recently.
Martha_Promise (2), USA does not count Jul 17, 2008 Aroma of lots of grapefruit, some caramel, and piney undertones.Poured a good finger and a half head. Medium-dark oragnge body, with light lacing throuhout. Tasted lots of hops, with zesty fruity notes, as well as a bit of bread. Palate was medium with an oily texture. Overall, a very good IPA, one of the better ones I’ve had. lordeche (328), Bridgewater, Massachusetts, USA Jul 16, 2008 Pours a nice amber-copper color with frothy head that dissipates quickly. Nose of grapefruit and other citrus, caramel and roasted malts, and slight floral notes. Flavor contains lots of nice lemon and grapefruit zest, slight herbal notes, and some sweet dark fruit and slight bready malts. Tons of great cascade bitterness, but hop complexity takes this one to another level. Medium bodied and a nice dry finish. Great Ipa. zombywoof (272), Shawnee, Kansas, USA Jul 16, 2008 A first rate IPA- lots of grapefruit, orange and resiny pine. Strong aroma and vibrant zesty flavor. If you like oodles of Cascade hops then this is the beer for you. surffisher (129), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA Jul 15, 2008 Bottle. Pours a golden honey-like amber, with a solid stand of white head. Sweet floral aroma with plenty of sappy citrusy and piney hops. The flavor is also sweet and floral with a nicely balanced blend of mostly aromatic hops. Generally sweet, but with a mildly dry finish; very smooth. Medium, slightly syrupy body; moderate to moderately low carbonation. Super smooth and flavorful, medium strength IPA; a standout in a crowded field. fonefan (4045), Ulfborg, Denmark Jul 14, 2008 Bottle 66cl. Clear medium to dark orange color with a large, frothy, excellent lancing, fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, pine, grapefruit, orange. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a long to average duration. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (190508)
