Slightly sweet with a hint of chocolate with a slightly bitter finish. Not a great porter but a good one. thanks kp cbkschubert (2017), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 30, 2006 Deep dark brown color with a nice tan head that settles quickly. Very light malt aroma. Flavor is coffee and choclate. Not much hop aroma, but the just the right amount of bitterness for a porter. Thin to medium body. A good beer. Shag (1923), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 6, 2006 Pretty standard porter. A brownish black appearance with a strong coffee aroma. The body is rather thin with the usual crew of flavas....chocolate, coffee, roasted malts. Some licorice in the finish. Not bad aracauna (2391), Georgia, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 10, 2006 Draft - notes from early Dec tasting. Deep brown pour with ruby notes, and a decent head. Roasty coffee aroma with some chocolate and some citrusy hops. Similar roasty coffee flavors, with a bit more chocolate than in the aroma, with some medium fruits. Decent, and not over-the-top.
