Bomber...dark brown to black body with a brown sugar colored head...bitter coffee aroma with some caramel...the lacing kind of sticks...its not dramatic, it just falls...thin body....I taste coffee, in a bitter form... a lot less flavor than I though it would be...a simple porter coffee + caramel....with a very mild bitter chocolate...its a shame it smells better than it tastes... in a few sips the finish is sour and metallic...good one timer, but wouldn’t seek it out...

Pours a deep, rich black with an aroma of light chocolate brownie batter, roasted malt, and a touch of cherry cake iciing. Flavor is a brownie batter powder, dark malt, dark fruit, and a touch of coffee. Nice, chewy mouthfeel. Not bad at all.

Dec 4, 2009 Bottle: The aroma consists of chocolate, coffee, and roasted malt. It pours a dark brown with a half inch beige head. The flavor starts with chocolate, roasted malt, and a hint of caramel. The finish has some light roasted coffee. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Dec 3, 2009 Pours a dark brown, with a creamy, well-sustained off-white head - slightly yeasty nose, with notes of dry cocoa, roasted malts, light anise - semi-dry, with a creamy body that gradually develops a chalky texture - flavors of bittersweet chocolate, mild licorice, strong roasty flavors - develops a fairly strong bitterness for the style in the finish, but it works well with the more dry qualities of the beer - lingering tobacco notes, a touch of ash - a pretty decent porter.

Nov 30, 2009 Pours a deep brown almost black with a smaller bubbly tan head. Aroma of milk chocolate, tart cherries, roasted malt and toasted nuts. Flavor of roasted malt, chocolate, tart cherries, some residual hop flavor and bitterness.

Nov 1, 2009 22oz bomber. Pours a deep, clear brown with a thin, nitro, dense tan cap like an irish dry stout. Muted aroma of roasted malt, cocoa, burnt sugar, mocha. Taste is nicely hopped- very well balanced with fresh West Coast hops and milk chocolate. Sticky, oily mouthfeel. Pretty yummy but nothing spectacular.

Oct 16, 2009 On tap at Blue Dog. Pours a dark almost black color with no head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malts, and hops. Well-balanced flavor of roasted malts, chocolate, coffee,and hops. Improves as it warms. Well-done.
