22 oz. bottle from Beer Run in Charlottesville. Dark brown pour with a medium creamy head. Roasted malty mocha-ey aroma. Slightly bitter roasted malt aroma with notes of coffee, cream and chocolate. Medium body.

Oct 7, 2008 KSBF 08- Really dark brown pour with a small tan head. Roast coffee texture with dark chocolate notes. Slight dry cocoa finish, some sweetness. Decent.

Oct 5, 2008 On tap at KSBF ’08. Dark brown, nearly black with a tan head. Light smell of dark chocolate. Bitter chocolate dominates the flavor, a little dusty. Not bad.

Sep 1, 2008 Poured a dark brown with a small tan head. Nose was pretty choco-roasty, a little fruity. Taste is classic roasted malt with appropriate hop bitterness as backup. Initially I didn’t notice, but this one has quite a carbonation issue---a bit too much. The hops never quite make a statement in this...a bit too sweet in the end. .

Aug 27, 2008 Pours a three finger beige head that fades slowly to a thin layer leaving some lace. Black as midnight, no highlights. Light-medium carbonation and heavy bodied. Coffee nose. Flavor is sweet roasted coffee/chocolate with almost burnt coffee finish, nice porter. $5.25 for a 22oz bottle from Yankee Spirits South Attleboro, Ma.
