Aroma is spicy phenolic, lost of lemon zest, some doughy malts, a bit thin and not much going on. Flavor is pretty light- saison yeasty phenolics, light lemon, grainy, toast, cobwebby and some slight stale or oldness, orange hints in the end with some more spice phenol and earth- somewhat clean and very light. The beer is a clear golden color with a thin off-white head that dissipates quickly. Thin rings of lacing. The aroma is sweet bananas, spices and yeast. Light-bodied with a soft and sweet mouthfeel. Fruity and spicy with notes of bananas and clove, as well as some yeast and malt. The finish is fruity with a lingering spice aftertaste. Pretty good all around. This great summer beer pours with a golden-orange body topped by a medium thick to thick head with lots of lacing. It’s sweet and malty with a nice grassy note, some clove and a light fruitiness. Light bodied, smooth and a touch dry. A very nice beer to commemerate the late, great Dave Levonian. You will be missed.
