Oct 31, 2009 355 mL. Pours a slightly hazy orangish/deep amber with a two/three finger tan head, rocky head that has excellent retention and lacing. Aroma is stale DIPA- lots of strawberry cheesecake, stale piney hops, bits of toffee. Taste is very malty but well balanced with subtle English/German hops- lots of strawberry, light fruits, light caramel. I can tell that fresh and on tap this would rock, but for now I would say it is mediocre.

Oct 25, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours a dark, hazy amber. Good taste of caramel and citrus.The hops show up in the end. A well done amber.

Oct 5, 2009 (Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 26 Sep 2009) Dark amber colour with frothy, beige head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of orange, caramel and grainy malt. Malty, fruity taste with toasty grain, orange and spicy, slightly piney hops in the finish. Generous bitterness. Medium body, with balanced sweetness and a solid malt structure. Well balanced and tasty beer.

Oct 4, 2009 Tasted at World Beer Festival in Duham NC - poured an amber color with a decent head - aroma of malt, toffee, and a note of hops. Taste is malty with toffee and caramel and light hops. Pretty tasty amber ale.

Sep 27, 2009 Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival. Clear amber. Perfumy hoppy nose. Mid-sweet and medium bodied with clean rounded mouthfeel. Lighty caramelly, ever aromatic. Long salty bitterness. Quaffable, tasty amber ale worthy this great brewer!

Sep 26, 2009 Pours a slightly flocculent orange with a thin head and very light lacing. Very sweet aroma, light hops. Alcohol present in the taste, astringent malt taste - maybe lightly toasted/roasted malt in small quantities - bittering hops. Crisp body, good carb. Quaffable.

Sep 24, 2009 dark amber pour with a slight offwhite head. Aroma is really quite wonderful, a combination of light cocoa powder and toffee, some breadiness and raisin with a bit of resinous hops. Flavor is a rich medley of caramel malt that jumps out at you and some wonderfully fresh toasted toffee. The addition of a roasted chocolate malt richness can probably be attributed to the big malt bill. Really good
