Head is initially average sized, frothy, light brown, mostly lasting.
Body is clear dark amber.
Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted grain, cookie, caramel), moderately hoppy (flowers, apricot, grapefruit), trace yeast (dough), with a note of black tea.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately bitter.
Medium to full body, velvety/creamy texture, lively carbonation.
Nice aroma, good flavor balance (a little citric for my tastes, but still nice), and one of the richest mouthfeels I’ve ever encountered in an American pale/amber ale. Good stuff. TURDFERGUSON (1604), Carrboro, North Carolina, USA

Rich, chewy malts amongst piney hops. Much better than I expected and one of the better brews I have tried from Ballast Point. mrhoppy (214), Santa Clara, California, USA
