Nice clear deep amber color. Very good brew. Strong hop flavors abound in this one. Very drinkable brew.

thanks elgaucho. this was pretty solid and would make for a great session beer. it is malt dominated but is still well balanced. i thought it was an amber as i drank it, and i think that description felt apt at the time. if it’s an ESB, it’s better than Fuller’s, which i was recently underwhelmed by. i didn’t notice any toffee in this one, but the balance and malt of a good ESB was there.

Good stuff. This was one of the first Ballast brews I ever had, and enjoyed it thoroughly. Great color, medium pine & yeast aroma. Nicely-done balance on flavors, modest hop bitterness that finishes clean and crisp with sweet & spicy notes. Very seshful.

As far as ambers go, this has been one the best I’ve ever had. or is it an ESB? anyway, a nice thirst quencher - a great hop addition making for a great flavorful and bitter finish. Highly recommended. Reminds me of a amber/pale ale combo

This is a great amber which sees regular rotation in slot #2 on my keggerator. Easy to drink and helps keep your head on your shoulders for prolonged beer drinking sessions. The flavor is nice and hoppy for an amber, but not enough to venture into the pale ale realm. Clean, crisp finish. If you drink this, a winner is you.

Aroma of malt, citrus and a bit of vanilla. Seems floral. Copper color with a vigorous beige head. Starts a bit thin, with malt quickly followed by citrus hop. Somewhat creamy. The citrus accompanies the malt through the finish. Really nice ESB.
