What a surprise. I got a richly-colored, moderately fizzy, served colder-than-I-expected, hoppy, flavorful beer. Great hop/citrus/caramel balance. Pretty good effort.

Draft sample at Pacific Fish Co., SD location. Poured clear dark amber hue with medium frothy white head that diminshed slowly with good lacing. Medium aroma of hops and malt. Medium body. Well balanced flavor of malt, hops and citrus with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Good drinkable brew.

Bottle. A amber beer with a big beige head. The aroma is malty, fruity, citrus and hoppy and so is the taste, very nise. Medium body with a bitter dry finish. Good Amber.

Bottled. Reddish amber coloured. Unclear. Dense light creamy light brown head. Light piney, herbal, light flowery aroma with some citric notes. Flavour is very flowery and herbal. Spices and fruits counter some of the herbs. Medium bodied. Quite dry. Has a nice balanced bitterness and is quite citric in the end. Good one.

Bottled. An amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet hoppy on a back ground of malt and berries. The flavor is sweet malty and quite hoppy, the hops giving it notes of both grapefruit and straw, and makes the end quite bitter.

Possibly one of the best out there. Pure copper pour with heavy caramel and malt aromas. The toffee is prevalent in the taste, but comes with a nice blend of malt, caramel, and vanilla flavors. Hoppy/citrus quality which seems to borrow from an XPA or a California pale. Not as bitter as the traditional ESB, but very, very nice.
