Bottle@DTS. Very fruity aroma, mainly grapefruit, light grassy. Hazy, dark yellow color, off-white head, good lace. Very sweet start, apple and other fruits, thin medicinal and very grassy in the finish. Sticky and very dry in the finish. Out of balance, over done.

Bottle from Vendome Liquor, Yorba Linda. Pours deep amber orange with fluffy off-white head. Sweet floral/hoppy aroma. Flavor begins with hints of ginger, roasted nuts and citrus. Finishes with a smooth touch of roasted malt and a bang of hops and alcohol. The flavor of DDIPA is really unique, nothing like I’ve ever had in an Double IPA. Very good!!

Bottle thanks to BMan1113VR. Thick creamy orange with a good sized head. Big hoppy citrus nose. Flavor with hops to spare yet a good amount of malt to soften the blow. Creamy texture with a good amount of alcohol to give the stomach something to think about. Very nice from start to finish.

Clear anber with a tight white head. Nice piney hop and sweet tea aroma. Smooth easy drinking. A mild flavor mirrors the aroma and is mainly earthy sweetened black tea with herbal and peach/mango flavors. Not much fresh hop action here. An aged bottle i hope.

Bottle. I don;t think they made it this year so it must have been the 2007 version, that I jsut acquired. In any case this DIPA was still great. Great aromas of pine, flowers and citrus. Awesome flavors of piney as well as flowery hops, that probbaly mellowed a bit and hence allowed the malt to come through more. Great smooth palate and nice bitter finish. They need to try to make this again, just jack up the price if necessary it is worth it.

2008-07-04. Hazy golden orange body, modest off white head. (3+) Aroma of clementines, and citrus seeds, modest alcohol. Very light floral touches to the hops. Pleasant hops throughout the flavour are assertive, nice moderate bitterness is fairly well balanced. Mild touch of alcohol. Smooth average to medium bodied palate. (3+) Quite good. Bottle from SDbruboy I believe.

Bottled. Big thanks to Tomas & Magnus. Light hazy orange colour with creamy white head. Grapey, mandariney aroma that is very compact and intense - this is what I want from an Imperial India Pale Ale. Balancedly sweet with superb hopflavour and grapey bitterness. There is not much else to say here. Fantastic 2IPA! It’s big. It’s bold. But it’s balanced!

(Bottle at a beer tasting in Göteborg on July 4, 2008)
Shady orange color, white head. Smooth, fruity, apricot scent. Spicy, sweet, alcohol taste. Grainy aftertste. Smooth mouthfeel, medium high bitterness.
