Aroma of orange zest, pine, grassy hops, and sweet malt. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium mouthfeel with a strong but well balanced amount of bitterness. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 26, 2008 A Mes rate: Bottle at Chris_O’s Ha Ha Ha Ha Gimme the Cheese Tasting. Amber coloured with a thin white head. Very good grassy hops nut a little too much wheat flavour pulls it slightly out of line. Very slight hints of alcohol but it’s well hidden really making it drink a little below its strength. Possibly a little too sweet but all in all a decent IPA. harrisoni (6946), Ashford, Kent, England

Bit empty on malts. Good beginning and end, but a bit metallic in the middle. JorisPPattyn (5192), Antwerpen, Belgium
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 23, 2008 Draught No head (dirty glass - at the brewery!), slightly hazy orange colour. Very expressly pineapple nose, some hops, but generally sweetish-fruity smelling. Fruits and sweetish, like a fruitcake with pineapple and some citrus. Hops are there, but they hardly seem US! Yet, this is good, if a tad sweet. Medium bodied. Quite easily drinkable, the alcohol being inconspicious, this is a dangerous one. The least hoppy of all IIPA’s - and yet this is more than OK. And such thing on the West Coast - shocking! AllAboutStout (605), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 22, 2008 Pours a dark amber in color with a nice frothy half inch head. Smell is somewhat past prime hops and lots of malt to help support the hops that were there. Taste is much the same. Don’t know if this bottle didn’t travel well or just got a old bottle. The hops are not what they should be. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA

Pours a gorgeous bright glowing orange color with a lasting offwhite head. Smell is grapefruit, and orange hoppiness and sweet malt. Balanced smell. Taste is hoppy but not as much as expected. Balanced well, and smooth, sweet citrusy malt. A touch too much alcohol is coming into the flavor making it less enjoyable though. Quick finish. Somewhat easy drinking, but the alcohol presence hindered it significantly for me. yespr (12416), Copenhagen O, Denmark
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 18, 2008 22 fl oz bottle. Pours slight hazy and orange with a dense off-white head. Citrus/orange peel fruity and pinewood hops aroma. Fruity and dry hops flavour: citrusy, orange fruit, peaches, pinewood and light apricot. Nicely balanced sweet caramel malt base accompanying this. Goes into a lovely fruity hoppy finish slowly declining in fruit flavours into a rather dry set of hops. Great! ChristianScheffel (4679), Odense, Denmark
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Apr 16, 2008 Hazy golden with a lasting off-white head. Delicious sweet hop aroma, dominated by orange, apricot and peach, with a little pine and tobacco bite. The flavour is the real deal: Extremely bitter, to the point of hurting the throat, and with no cloying malt sweetness. There is a touch of alcohol showing up at the end, along with green, pine, hoppy flavours in the aftertaste.
