After an aggressive pour they intensified. First taste was pine and malt - this one has a very robust malt backbone, unlike the standard "West Coast IPA." Lingering bitter aftertaste that is mild, but staying. ADDITIONAL NOTES (5/17): As this brew gets older, the hops REALLY fade, to the point where the malt totally takes over. It becomes kind of a "Barleywine Light". THIRD ANALYSIS: This is amazing fresh! Went through a growler of this, and yes, its a beautiful skunky fresh cannabis tasting beer! tytoanderso (1387), St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA

Granted, they are there, but there’s also plenty of dry wood, cilantro, mint and white grape skin. Quite pleasant. Pours a thick gold with a nice sized white head leaving excellent lacing. Nicely balanced flavor profile... if an IIPA can be balanced at all. Pine resin initially, dry and spicy wood tannin, toasted caramel, mint. Very unique. Medium to full bodied. Sweet but never cloying. Interesting representation of the style for sure. Theis (3760), Denmark

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 28, 2008 Bottle. High creamy and lasting off-white head leaving nice curtains on the glass. Clear amber body. Fruity barley malt aroma with grassy notes and hops of course. Hops dominated flavor with hints of raisins. Alcohol very well hidden byt the bitterness. Low carbonation and a long bitter aftertaste. puzzl (2635), New York, New York, USA

He said this tasted fishy, I didn’t quite get that, but there was a bit of an odd finish. Very hoppy overall, loaded with resin, an a very bitter finish. Malts are fairly light, with a touch of sweetness. The body is fine though this was quite hard to drink. KimJohansen (7126), Copenhagen V, Denmark
