Sampled at Stevofest, courtesy of Stevo. Bonus appearance for the cool label. Orange, thin white head. Citrusy and surprisingly smoky aroma. Flavor also has a mild somy component, mixed with earthy malts and citrusy hops. Pretty tasty.

Sampled at Stevofest 08, courtesy of Decaturstevo. Pours a golden amber with a diminishing off white head. Aroma of citrus and toffee malts. Medium bodied and stops short of being sticky. The toffee malts take a back seat to the huge citrusy bitterness than carries through to the finish. For the hop head.

Bottle at stevo’s. Pours gold with off-white head. The aroma is lots of citrus fruit, some sugary malt. The flavor is grapefruit, tangerine, very sweet malt, but not overwhelmingly so. Tangy, sticky pine finish. Pretty good.

Bottle from joey at southbay. Thanks as always. Pours a slightly cloudy amber with a thin white head. Flavors of lemonade, strong hops, grapefruit, orange, other citrus, grapes, cantalope, pineapples...man, this beer is a fruit bomb. Amazing. Finishes bitter with a bit of carbonation. Very nice, need more!

My bottle (22oz) shared with HogTownHarry, tupalev & GregClow -- courtesy of toncatcher. Pours a nice clear gold with a small diminishing off-white head. Aroma: Oh yes, fresh hops galore! The hops were much needed tonight, there were too few at this tasting. Some sweetness and fruit along with all those hops. Flavour’s also very hoppy but also quite refreshing, nicely backed by caramel malt, lots of fruit and a long bitter finish. Alcohol’s very well hidden. Medium bodied. A freakin’ awesome DIPA!

Bottle. Orange pour with some white head that dissipated quickly. Aroma of caramel malt and some citrus hops, but not as hoppy as I thought it would be. The flavor is again caramel malt and pine / resin hops. Nice amount of bitterness, and good malt back in this brew.

Cloudy amber/organge pour with diminishing white head. Slick of sticky lace is left behind. Huge hop aromas, pine, resin, citrus, mmmmmmmm. Big malt presence in the nose as well, notes of caramel and sweetness. Big malt and hop presence in flavor, nicely balanced between the citrus and caramel flavors. Full syrupy mouthfeel. Alcohol is well hidden and very drinkable for 9.6% ABV. Lasting bitter finish. Great Beer!

Re-sampled this with Jerc, Mabel, and Jon and my numbers came out exactly the same! A great beer, thanks Jon. Bottle shared with Hogtown Harry, Blankboy, and GregClow, blankboy’s bottle. Lovely fresh hop aroma - very strong. Medium orange, small white head. Great hoppy, fruity taste - almost tropical! Citrus pineapple gives this double a welcome unique taste while still knocking your bitter socks off. Long bitter linger. A great beer.
