22oz. Bomber. Golden orange color with a nice collar of white foam. Nose is big on hops with grapefruit aroma dominating and fresh pine lingering in the background. Taste has notes of orange peels, caramel, malt sugar and pine resin. Initially a bit citrusy and sweet, but a well balanced bitterness pervades the flavor towards the end. Mouthfeel is slightly creamy, with a bit of oilyness and a moderately high level of carbonation. Finish is dry, lingering and bitter, but not overpowering. Simply stated another 2IPA winner from S.D. Get some if you can.

Bottle courtesy of FogDog as an extra! Kevin you are awesome, thanks a bunch! Pours a hazy yet oily orang with a huge off white head. Aroma is grapefruit, malt, pine, and juicy citrusy hops. Flavor is citrusy hops, with a huge malt backbone to back it up. Slightly thick syrupy yet oily mouthfeel and finishes with bitter resinous grapefruit hop bitterness. One of the better DIPA’s out there.

Tap at ACBF 2009: Hazy golden with a dense off white head. Rich fruity hop aroma- lychee, peach and mango juicy with resinous notes. Dense creamy carbonation. Very piny flavor- fruity peach undertones and bitter minty pine flavors. A balanced and tasty IIPA with solid rounded bitterness.

On draft at ACBF09. Pours a light orange with a thick white head. Aroma of hops oils, citrus, and grapefruit. Flavor is sweet and malty with lots of citrus and grapefruit. It is rather heavy, as is expected with the 9.6% abv, but otherwise very nice. 8/4/8/3/14 (3.7/5)

Bottle from Swolf I think. The pour was godlen with lots of carbonation, steady bubbles rising to the top. The aroma was caramel and resinous. The flavor was caramel, resinous, teabags, piney hops. Mouthfeel was a moderate body, some dryness in the finish, but malt balance definitely present.

Draft @ Capones" Poured a golden color with a nice head. The aroma was pine, fruit and sweet malt. The flavor was pine at first and a nice smooth citrus malt finish. Overall, an excellent DIPA.

Bomber from brewery. Pours gold-range with a half finger of off-white head. Strong hoppy nose, mainly of grapefruit and pine. Sharp hop flavor of grapefruit and resin but nicely balanced with malt. It’s plenty bitter, but not overwhelming. Medium bodied with a nice lingering hop bitterness.

Very clear golden color with nice bubbly head. Kick ass aroma with citrus and floral notes. Not overly hoppy. Awesome double IPA.
