Nose is big on hops with grapefruit aroma dominating and fresh pine lingering in the background. Taste has notes of orange peels, caramel, malt sugar and pine resin. Initially a bit citrusy and sweet, but a well balanced bitterness pervades the flavor towards the end. Mouthfeel is slightly creamy, with a bit of oilyness and a moderately high level of carbonation. Finish is dry, lingering and bitter, but not overpowering. Simply stated another 2IPA winner from S.D. Get some if you can. rustychiles (1067), Mesa, Arizona, USA

Pours a hazy yet oily orang with a huge off white head. Aroma is grapefruit, malt, pine, and juicy citrusy hops. Flavor is citrusy hops, with a huge malt backbone to back it up. Slightly thick syrupy yet oily mouthfeel and finishes with bitter resinous grapefruit hop bitterness. One of the better DIPA’s out there. PilsnerPeter (2667), Flushing, New York, USA

Aroma of hops oils, citrus, and grapefruit. Flavor is sweet and malty with lots of citrus and grapefruit. It is rather heavy, as is expected with the 9.6% abv, but otherwise very nice.
