I find this to be a very fine DIPA. The color and appearance are right up my alley. Golden with a nice amount of carbonation and head. The aroma lets you know right off what you are getting yourself into. Plenty of citrus right out there in the nose. The flavor starts with a combined malty orange and hop orange citrus that fades quickly to grapefruit juice. The body is just right for this one and as it is not too thin or too heavy, it makes this DIPA quite quafable. I could have a couple of these in a row, where as many other DIPA’s I have to stop at one. A fine brew.

Big pine hop aroma. Golden coloured strong in alcohol and hoppy with a crisp and bitter malt finish. Boutip (2371), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 10, 2009 Bottle: Poured a light clear orangey color ale with a rather large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrus and grapefruit hops is one-dimensional but still very interesting. Taste is also dominated by grapefruit hops with loads of great floral notes and light bitter finish. Malt is present thought doesn’t play a big role in the final taste. Body is about average with good carbonation and no signs of alcohol. Well done for a West Coast IIPA. andersand (360), Malmö, Sweden
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 6, 2009 Hazy amber colour with a large off-white head. Aroma is typical clean piney hops over a caramell foundation. Flavour is the same, quite generous and fairly balanced with a good hoppy aftertaste. Could do better with a less pine-tree and a more juice-like hop character. In my.. Opinion.. chriso (4796), London, Greater London, England
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 27, 2009 Bottle, April 2008 tasting. Dark gold colour. Powerful hops throughout - lots of pine and grapefruit. Minimal malt backup and rather astringent bitterness knock it down a notch. Still a very tasty DIPA. Certainly doesn’t stray into that sweet sticky territory that some do.

Hops, caramel and sweet malt are present in the aroma. Flavor is dominated by hops and more hops, some sweet caramel and a touch of peach in the background. Finish is bitter and lingering. hombrepalo (773), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Sweet hoppy citrus aroma. Grapefruit, orange, lemon, pine hops, and a malt backbone. Palate is smooth and a bit on the light side. Alcohol not noticable at 9.6%. Not as tasty as the Scrupulin but an above average IIPA. Thanks again to my fantasy baseball team and Cory. Madsnp (626), Odense C, Denmark
