CaptainCougar (4664), Rockville, Maryland, USA Apr 15, 2007 Sampled at the brewery on 11/30/06: Clear deep golden pour with a nicely-lacing white head. Aroma has a lot of fresh grapefruity and piny hops with some sweet caramel malt. Body starts sweet and caramely viscous with a good fresh flavor and bittering hoppy presence. Nicely-balanced, crisp and drinkable. JorisPPattyn (4519), Antwerpen, Belgium Apr 24, 2008 Draught. ??My notes, taken from the blackboard, talk about Fathom IPA?? Good yellow head, leaving some lace: pale orangey beer. Very grapey, dry hops, bit salty/oystershell (high DMS?), fruity end. Dry hops, less bitter than expected, orange marmalade and a pinch of quinine. Medium bodied, slick, some alcohol ’t would seem. Good, if unspectacular. If it is really a lager, then it would be spectacular indeeed. jcwattsrugger (4045), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Jan 14, 2008 on tap-pours a thin white head and gold color. Aroma is citrus grapefruit/lemon hops. Taste is nice zippy citrus grapefruit/lemon hops-bitter, secondary medium malt. Dry finish. OK carbonation. goldtwins (3740), Nesconset, New York, USA Feb 5, 2007 Draft @ the brew shop. Pored a clear gold color with n off-white head. The aroma was crisp but very hoppy with cirtusy grapefruit notes. Good caramel malt base. Big citrusy hop flavors all throughout from front to back. Large crips dry long bitter finish.
