Smells light and fruity hoppy like a lighter single IPA with more of a malty backbone. The taste is super fruity hoppy, sweet citrus, with a lingering malt profile. Grapefruit, orange, and then smooth and grassy bitter on the finish. Medium, bitter body with vibrant carbonation. Capa (993), Yokosuka, Japan
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 22, 2009 Crystal clear gold with a white head. Clean hoppy aroma. Grapefruit, citrus, some pine, a little grain, lemon peel. Medium bodied but very crisp. Flavor is packed full of the hops. Grapefruit, citrus, lemon peel, light pine, and just a touch of malt. Finish is dry and bitter. I was surprised at how well this worked. The crisp, clean flavors of a lager really let the hops shine through. Fantastic.

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 9, 2009 Draught at the brewery. Orange tinted gold color with a lasting white head. Lots of hops in the aroma with flowers, mangos, and peaches adding fruit to the spicy and grassy notes that some more euro hops seem to be adding. The flavor has some light and toasty malt with lots of hop flavor (mango, peach, grapefruit peel) and more bitterness than the sculpin that I had right before. Medium bodied with smooth carbonation. Cool mix of fruity with grassy and spicy hops. I’d definitely like to have this one again. riversideAK (2767), Shoreline, Washington, USA

Aroma is lemony citrus. Flavor starts light sweet citrus (grapefruit, lemon and orange) followed by a medium citrus bitterness and a medium dry, lightly grassy finish. Medium body is tangy with lively carbonation. Lager my ass, this is a damn good IPA (made with lager yeast I guess).
