Nose clearing aromas of grapefruit, lemon, and hop resin. A powerful amount of bitters to the taste, but surprisingly light on the tongue for the huge flavors: more citrus, a bit of mountain cedar, fine notes of clean malts way underneath. Packs as much flavor as many Imperial or double IPAs. Wow!

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 5, 2009 Traded bottle. Really pretty pour. Amber/bronze/gold colour with a medium off-white, foamy head. Perfect carbonation and nice lacing. Huge aroma of spruce, mandarin oranges, and pineapple. Flavour was more piney hops and a little perfume. A hint of alcohol in the long finish. Not bad but more straight bitterness than hop flavour if that makes sense. tastybeer (79), Washington DC, USA

Tastes strongly of butterscotch, caramel, and citrus from the hops. Nice lacing. Would drink again. blipp (1672), Newark, New Jersey, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 30, 2009 Cask. Pours unclear orange with a white head. Juicy sweet citric fruit aroma with some piny notes. The flavor brings an awesome blast of piny hops, as well as citrus and other fruity notes. Finishes just a touch too bitter for my tastes, but still a really awesome beer. allendodd (47), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 28, 2009 Bottle from Bhensonb. Thanks a bunch, man. Big lemony/orange hoppiness in the nose that mixes well with a deep floral sweetness. The initial taste lives up to the promise! There is a big hoppy smack with the balancing sweetness right there with it. Perfect timing. Palate is a bit rough with the hoppy bitterness, but it runs a smooth malt softness right away. The beer finishes just dry enough. This would be regular for me if I could get it, and is a solid 4.2 without hesitation. Thanks for the beer. anders37 (4675), Malmö, Sweden

Has a fruity tropical fruit hoppy aroma with hints of grapefruit. Sweetish malty hoppy bitter grapefruit flavor. Has a fruity malty fresh hoppy bitter grapefruit finish. Orange fruit aroma. Golden coloured and hoppy with a little bitterness in a crisp and dry malt finish. afireinside96 (835), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Nov 22, 2009 On tap at The Brass Rail, served in a Samuel Adams Boston Lager glass. Clear gold with a large eggshell colored head. Most of the head lasted throughout the entire pint and left large sheets of lacing coating the entire glass. The smell was bright and fresh, bursting with notes of peach, pine, and grapefruit. Grapefruit and pine were present in the flavor along with a touch of biscuit and caramel. Not sticky at all, just crisp and dry throughout the entire glass. The finish isn’t super intense like some IPAs but lasts for quite some time. Easily one of the best IPAs that I have ever had and one that I will purchase every time I see it without hesitation. BeerGestapo (740), Windsor, Pennsylvania, USA

Pours straw in color with a super foamy white head that will dissipate in time. Aroma of hops, malts, citrus and fruits. The taste has fruit flavors like oranges, mango, grapefruit and peaches with some hops and citrus notes. The mouthfeel is thin to medium in body with a nice crisp dry hoppy bite at the finish. Wow, this IPA was really good stuff !!! I could drink this all night long. :)
