Commercial Description:
A lager beer produced using pale barley malt, rice and exclusive varieties of hops which give this beer variety its inimitable aroma, very light and velvety flavor and pleasant bitterness of hops. The addition of rice provides No2 Pale with a surprisingly fresh taste and smoothness, and for these reasons it is easy to drink.
The ingredients are water, pale barley malt, select rice and hops.
Produced since 2004. 11°

The aroma is skunky malt and grassy hops. The appearance is pale gold with a small head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is thin. This is not one I would have again.

Light golden color, small white head that faded quickly leaving little behind. The aroma was light malt some grain and maybe a hint of fruit but hard to say.The flavor was pretty nasty, griany and mild malt with a mild hint of hops and a slight metallic side.Pretty nasty brew and not worth diving into again.

A yellow beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of straw, but also light notes of malt. The flavor again is sweet with primary notes of straw, but with the malt lingering in the back ground, combined with light notes of caramel, leading to a dry slightly bitter end.

Not a very good aroma. Wispy and grassy. Taste is pretty thick and not very good. I prefer 5 and 7 over this guy.

If value for money was a category, i would give it a higher score, it was every penny of the 69 cents for a 1 pint bottle at Pioneer Supermarket, NYC. Frothy head the fizzed up and disappered instantly with zero lacing. Sinister looking in the glass, very clear, like a urine sample with strange clouds of bubbles tyhat seemed to appear from nowhere. Flavot not so bad. Very dry, with elements of lemon, stale bread and malt. The beer equivilant of a dry mournful Russian novel. I will by again, well, at .69 why wouldn’t I?

Sampled at Broudy’s Beerfest, Orange Park FL, 6/24/2006. Mild lager aromas and flavors. Very easy drinking and no rough edges. Sort of a milder Becks. A little watery. Not bad.

Pours a three finger white head that fades quickly to a thin layer leaving a some lace. Clear paleish amber color. Light carbonation and light-medium bodied. Slight skunky nose. Starts balanced, seems to have a slight corn/rice/hop flavor - boring. Best before 4/4/2006 but I don’t think it mattered. $1.95 for a 500ml bottle from Colonial Spirits Acton, Ma.
