Jun 7, 2008 Bottle. Barely-there aroma, surprising considering the relative pleasantness effusing from the 2. Really, almost nothing there - maybe a touch of vomit? Clear golden body with a lot of carbonation and a lacing, rocky/soapy white head. Thin body with very thin flavor - thin malt, thin grainy taste, touch of tartness, mild sweetness. Pleasant and inoffensive, not cloying or too dirty, just nothing here.

Jun 7, 2008 Very light grain aroma. Clear golden color with a small white head. Light yeast flavor in the beginning with a mild sweet finish. Palate stays with you.

Jun 5, 2008 Bottled 50cl. 5.1 ABV. It pours a very pale yellow beer with a quick diminishing white head. The nose is malty. Metallic with notes of vegetables and banana. The taste is mainly of hay. Some wheat. Malty. Easy drinkable. Watery. It reminds me a bit of malt liquor, much more light bodied though. Poor lacing. Some sweetness. Terribly boring.

May 16, 2008 Straw gold body, chunky white head. Aroma is grassy and sweet. Flavor is mostly sour malts and adjunct sweetness; very little hoppiness. I guess this is the Russian Bud; nothing I’d seek out but certainly not terrible.

Apr 14, 2008 My go to beer while in Russia! Enjoyed while in Moscow in 2002, and enjoying again here in Astrakhan in 2008. This will no doubt be a biased rating due to my fond memories associated with this beer. Pours clear and very light yellow, with a small foamy head that actually leaves a bit of lace. Aroma is fairly non-existent, but there is a glimpse of hops there, I swear. Flavor is also a tiny bit of hops, with some slight maltiness. Generally devoid of anything representing character or flavor. Even thought its available back home, I’d only buy this in Russia where there are literally no other choices offering a better experience. Vodka anyone?

Apr 13, 2008 Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear yellowish golden with a very small white head and a hoppy aroma that isn’t pleasant. The taste is grainy with a really soft mouthfeel and a slightly hoppy finish. The taste is a tad sweet, which is uncommon for a pale lager, but I do like this for that style.

Mar 30, 2008 Clear gold lager with thin white head. Aroma is faintly malty but larger-ish and the taste is malty and quite drinkable.
