Poured a shiny yellow colour with a thick medium sized head that went away relatively fast. Weak sourish hopiness in the nose, maybe lemon. The taste is... gee, empty. A void surrounded by a mild hoppy bitterness (proved to be the hoppiest of the 4 we’ve had today). Ok, not a void. Some very weak maltiness could be sensed. Dull and unimpressive, and yet not the worst Baltika we’ve had today. Russo (610), Campinas, Brazil

Truly has a foamy head, decent retention also. More of a yellow than golden. Very weak aroma of malts. Similar flavour with some doughy finish. Not the best. HighlanderOne (546), Somewherein, New Jersey, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 8/20 | Jan 26, 2008 Poured from bottle 1/2008. Found this one nestled in with the wine in the fridge at a liquor store. Faint malt and even fainter hops in the aroma. Light gold, as expected with thin persistent head. Slightly sweet as you first taste it. While the malt and hops are there, they are quite hard to detect in the flavor. A shame, really, since it is a fairly well made beer. Crisp, clean feel. Finished OK. 45thstbrewer (94), Conowingo, Maryland, USA

Light golden color, slight typical lager bite but not too bad. Flavor was, well, nothing which is why it had to be rated poorly reakt (937), Greater London, England

Well, when forced to drink somewhere you’d rather not why not get a couple rates in, eh...Take one for the team...Was definitely the 3 as I made note but my bottle said 5.1%.You know you’re a geek when you take down those kind of details on a beer this bad, lol... Pale gold with a thin white head. Buttered popcorn, malt, grains and the slightest whiff of hops with a taste much the same. I’m beginning to think lager isn’t my thing...I might go as far as saying I’d prefer a Hoegaarden Rosée.
