In the 0.5L bottle from HyVee CB. This pours a brownish red with an initially larhe off white head that subsides to a thing ring around the beer. Not much aroma- only a very mild caramel scent. The flavor has a lot of caramel and toffee. Perhaps some hazelnut tastes as well. This is malty and chocolaty, but the body is far too thin and watery. While I am quite positive about most of the Baltika beers, this one underperforms a bit.

A decent take on the style, pours a brownish amber coloring, with some toasted caramel, roasted nuttiness and a soft bready note throughout.

Bottle. Light sour, quite strong malty smell. Large brown creamy head, not so long lasting; the body is dark red. Bitter taste, a little bit sour, normal duration. Medium body, dry and soft carbonation. The finish is alcoholic.

Clear amber with tan head that disappears fast. Sweet malty aroma, lots of jaggery and molasses. Quaffable, thin, and soft mouthfeel. Sweet malty body, too sweet. Not bad though, a good complement to rustic Russian food.

Darker red color, decent lacing and retention. Aroma is caramel, nut, lightly fruity. Medium bodied, quite drinkable. Decent I guess.

Very cloudy reddish brown color... almost looks solid. Quickly dissolving 2-finger head. Grainy malt aroma. Taste is grain, nuts and an odd sugariness. Medium body. Very weird stuff.
