The appearance is attractive, a nice copper/red color, clear. Nice white head. Very sweet, malty flavor, very low hop signature. Nice sweetness on palate. Excellent beer overall. It is hard to find the even numbered Baltic beers, but it has been worth the effort. ilovedarkbeer (1367), Dallas, Texas, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 27, 2008 The malts that Baltika uses are really great. Pours a brown color with beautiful reddish highlights. Head was massive when poured into a weizen. Nose is chocolate lots of caramel, and bread, maybe some rye. Taste is nice and smooth, sweet but not overly cloying, and the rye makes for a really nice finish. High marks for this dunkel the mouthfeel is somewhat watery and there is a little bit of a bitter back taste. I like it. Sigmund (2293), Hafrsfjord, Norway

Copper coloured beer with a decent beige head. Interesting aroma of lightly roasted malts, caramel and fruit. The flavour is very malty and sweet (the maltose syrup shows its presence), but there is also some fruitiness. Plenty of caramel, hints of rye bread. Low bitterness. A bit too much sweetness for me, but definitely drinkable. blipp (1685), Newark, New Jersey, USA

Aroma of caramel malt, with some bread. Mostly bread flavor, but too sweet and syrupy. Mouthfeel too watery. Eh, not great. daniele (1734), Italy
