Dark brown sugar pour with fluffy beige head than thins pretty quickly. Caramel, raisin bread and chocolate on the nose. Molasses, roasty malts, and sweet bready flavors. The palate is a bit thin, which is too bad, because the flavors of this beer are pretty nice...and rather surprising considering the rest of the gang in their line up.

Pours a hazy, reddish-brown. Like a glass filled with red clay, you can’t see through it. Head is off-white, eggshell colored, and quickly dissipated. Aroma is caramel, chocolate, peat and fecund earth. Thin bodied taste, with chocolate, caramel malts, red grapes, copper pennies, and figs. Really good with a spicy meal, the malt cools things down and has enough flavor to matchup with anything. Alcohol, though felt, is not tasted. Decent beer. 1 Pint .9 oz bottle purchased at Norm’s Beer in Vienna, VA.

Pours a caramel copper color with a white head. Aroma of bread and lots of it as well as caramel. Taste was bread sugar and caramel. Not a great beer.

Clear light brown/amber with a thin colorless head. Faint notes of caramel and herbs. The flavor was equally weak with hints of sweetness and herbs but mostly watery. Bad.

Deep reddy brown, tiny head. Beatiful winey raisins, and sweet malty aroma. Quite fizzy carbonation, needs a swirl to soften it. Thick sticky malty body, with slightly sickly sour and alcoholic wafts rising up the nose. Roastiness, burntness even, in the taste is accompanied by more dark fruity hints. Decent sweet malty finish. Even at 5.6%, this can be sessioned, trust me - the fifth, sixth, seventh etc. still taste as good as the first. Without the sickly sourness, this would be a classic.

Head is not lasting,mild carb,red brown dark colour.Aroma sweet floral flavour,malty a pleasant sweetness leaves a dry sweetness on the taste buds.Perhaps slight nutty flavours their,not much to note on but it,s an okay drink.

Amber auburn color. Subtle malty bready smell. Caramel sweet and toasty character with light hoppy balance at finish. Great bargain $.79 for a 16 oz bottle.

0.5L bottle. Beautiful clear dark amber colour, aromas of malt ,caramel and some yeast, taste of light roasted coffee with an over whelming syrupy sweetness, which is a bit sickening. Dissapointing.
