Candied aroma. Caramel or toffee, very light. Overall a pretty good brew. Nice flavor thoughout without the rich maltiness of a dunkel. D (546), Poland

Wonderful ruby colour, thick lasting head; as far as the flavour goes there’s a mix of fruity, caramel and roasted notes. Full bodied, slightly dry in finish. Awesome; took another one home from St. Petesburgh. Nicko (191), Ashfield, Australia
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 22, 2006 500 ml bottle. Big foamy head on dark reddish brown body. Toasty malt aromas. Caramelly hoppy tastes on a medium body.
I wasn’t expecting much, given the lager (i think) from these guys but all in all not bad. EithCubes (2152), Indiana, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 14, 2006 Bottle. Aroma is sweet dark malt and toffee. Dark copper/amber with a light brown, sticky head. Medium-bodied (only from the oiliness)and sticky, taste is caramal and brown sugar and toffee. Dryish finish also makes the mouth water. What’s this?...Baltika made a good one? 5000 (2455), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 26, 2006 Bottle: Deep amber, copper tones, large foamy light beige head, fairly nice lacing. Sweet nose, molasses and brown sugar, toasted grains as well. Sweet malty start, very pale brown sugar and molasses. Somewhat thin, fairly clean, with a toasted grain like finish. Not as big as I thought, moreso like a very sweet amber. Still fairly tasty tho...

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jun 15, 2006 500 ml bottle. Pours a slightly hazy dark amber under a small fizzy off-white head. Legions of bubbles cling to the inside of the glass. Fairly good aroma, lots of sweet caramel malt with a little alcohol and raisins. Flavor is a little harsh and thin, pretty malty though with touches of raisins and figs. Minimal to no hops present. Mouthfeel is a little thin up front, but the finish is actually a little sticky. Lots of fizzy prickly carbonation. An OK beer, but not a whole lot going on. Not something I’d buy again. CQC (224), Sydney, Australia

It’s got a nice light burnt aroma and a follow up taste. Doesn’t hang around for too long and you’re ready another one. As dark beers go, this one is the equivilent of a escort with a body kit, looks good but doesn’t really have anything to back it up. Saarlander (1579), Rancho Cucamonga, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 8, 2006 Poured a dark ruby color, lots of nut flavor,Abit sweet, a nice dunkel, but a little too sticky for me, still a good brew, one of Baltika’s better brews
