| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 13, 2005 This probably deserves a better score then it is getting, but all the elements just don’t add up. Decent mouthfeel and good flavor, but the aroma lacks and it just doesn’t cohese. Spiesy (2333), Global Citizen, Greater London, England

It seems this is the land for Red beer. Fruity, raisin, sultana aroma and flavour. Doesn’t taste enough like a beer for me. To much red stuff in Greece. Wiseblood (658), Clarksville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 1, 2005 Brownish-red with a fat, dense head. Sweet aromas of caramel, coffee and hints of chocolate. Big malt profile matches to a big body and culminates in a clean, dry finish. No hop flavor at all, just a soft malty, yeasty character that makes this pretty good. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jul 25, 2005 Updated: Aug 28, 2005Pours a brilliantly clear ruby color when held up to the light. It is tipped by a frothy, slightly rocky light tan colored head. I smell aromas of thin grain, slight caramel, and a hint of toasted dark grain character. The beer has a light, filling fullness to it as it hits my palate for the first time. There is a light caramel sweetness here and it is joined by a slightly herbal, almost menthol like character. This beer has a slight character of aged malt in the finish, but other than this it is pretty clean. The finish on this beer is lightly sweet with a light, complimenting bitterness.

Liquorice and malt with yeasty bready notes in the nose. Smooth malt and raisin notes in the flavor. Gets better as it warms. Not a great beer but a good one.
