Poured a reddish, copper color with a medium sized, off white head that light lacing on the glass. Aroma of sickly sweet caramel, subtle roast, but predominantly sweet. Sweet malty taste, caramel and brown sugar. Rather non-descript, sweet, light spices, minimal hops, watery.

The appearance was perhaps the most attractive part of the beer. It poured an auburn body with a creme-colored, thick, head. The flavor was sweet, with minimum hoppiness.

Pours brownish red with a small tan head. Malty, roasty aroma. Flavors of the same hit you up front, but fade pretty quickly. Actually ends up being too thin in the finish.

I have recently come around on dunkels. This is a good example of the style. Poured a very pretty dark ruby body. The head was light tan and large but fades to a trace once you start drinking. The aroma was bubblegum, pears and molasses. The taste is roasted peanut along with toast. There is also a balancing sweet caramel. Best by August 22, 2005.

Bottle, purchased in Armanetti Liquor A pretty, amber-colored beer. Fluffy, lasting head. The nose is vaguely carmel and syrupy. The taste is dominated by malt and some caramel flavors, with something of a bready, slightly sour finish. No bitterness or hop flavors detected. Drinkable, but just barely.
