Very sweet and malty - both on the nose and on the tongue. Full bodied and enjoyable. Definitely better than the rest of the stuff I drank that evening! yngwie (5000), Kristiansand, Norway

A clear, amber beer with a slightly small off-white head. Malty, grainy nose with a small touch of DMS, as well as some fruit and toffee. Caramel, roasted malt and a lightly fruity flavor, leading to a short, mild finish. Thin bodied and boring, but at least un-offensive and somehow decent. Lots of sweet malts on the nose, nice malty flavor that goes sour in the finish otherwise this would have been higher. Lakefronts dunkel was better. zvikar (435), Tel-Aviv, Israel

| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Dec 7, 2008 500 ml bottle @ EBF 2008. Nut-brown body with a thin off-white head. Vague caramel aroma with a hint of alcohol. Flavor is sweet caramel and a harsh bitterness, as from burnt sugar instead of hops. Sticky sweetness and a thin body at the same time, not balanced. Somewhat bitter with a decent skunk to it. One of the better if not best Baltika brews Ive had. troopie (903), USA
