Bottle at tashi’s Lithuanian Fighting Lager tasting, 5th Oct 2008. Rich reddish amber. Very sweet and malty - both on the nose and on the tongue. Full bodied and enjoyable. Definitely better than the rest of the stuff I drank that evening!

Bottle at European Beer Festival, Copenhagen. A clear, amber beer with a slightly small off-white head. Malty, grainy nose with a small touch of DMS, as well as some fruit and toffee. Caramel, roasted malt and a lightly fruity flavor, leading to a short, mild finish. Thin bodied and boring, but at least un-offensive and somehow decent. (080913)

Crushed with Jakebra. Lots of sweet malts on the nose, nice malty flavor that goes sour in the finish otherwise this would have been higher. Lakefronts dunkel was better.

500 ml bottle @ EBF 2008. Nut-brown body with a thin off-white head. Vague caramel aroma with a hint of alcohol. Flavor is sweet caramel and a harsh bitterness, as from burnt sugar instead of hops. Sticky sweetness and a thin body at the same time, not balanced. Thanks to Ole R

I definitely liked this far more than the baltika 3. Nice brown color with a white head. Somewhat bitter with a decent skunk to it. One of the better if not best Baltika brews Ive had.

Bottle. Poured deep brown with a thick white head. Aroma of fruit, caramel and raisins. Light malt flavour, with bare tinges of malt, and rye. Flat malt finish. Began very well and ended disappointingly
