| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Aug 26, 2008 500 ml bottle poured a clear dark amber with a small lingering light amber head. Aromas of carmel, toasted malt, light fruittiness and light molasses. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of molasses, toasted malt, cocoa and a hint of fruittiness with a smooth malty finish.
Much b etter beer than I expected! rayOfBeer (318), El Cerrito, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 25, 2008 Poured from bottle a brown color that shows red highlights when held to light with a medium sized off-white head. Aroma is sweet roast with caramel, malt and some dark fruit like plum. Flavor has a big dose of caramel and bread. Not a whole lot of flavor but what is there is pretty good. Big malt mouthfeel for the palate and sweet but not cloying. Overall I enjoyed the beer and would drink another. djd07 (739), Houston, Texas, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Aug 22, 2008 Bottle. Pours a ruby amber color with a large frothy light tan head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is caramel, dark fruits, and sweet malts. Decent lacing on the glass. The taste is a sweet malt and caramel. Not too much going on with this one. yespr (12173), Copenhagen O, Denmark
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 17, 2008 50 cL bottle. Pours golden amber with a creamy tan head, rather beautiful beer really. Mild spiced breadish and slight roasted aroma. Flavour is medium sweet, hardroasted malt and distinct breadish. Smooth breadish finish, remains dry and holds a mild bitterness in the far finish, otherwise quite malty brew. SledgeJr (2960), Omaha, Nebraska, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Aug 14, 2008 In the 0.5L bottle from HyVee CB. This pours a brownish red with an initially larhe off white head that subsides to a thing ring around the beer. Not much aroma- only a very mild caramel scent. The flavor has a lot of caramel and toffee. Perhaps some hazelnut tastes as well. This is malty and chocolaty, but the body is far too thin and watery. While I am quite positive about most of the Baltika beers, this one underperforms a bit. BlackDonald (1127), Boise, Idaho, USA
