Commercial Description:
A traditional dark beer based on old recipes. "Baltika" brews this beer with the best dark and light malts with the addition of superior hop types and a special strain of yeast. Crystal-clear water and the secret touch of "Baltika"'s brewers make this a beer of unsurpassable quality.
The ingredients are water, caramel malt and burnt roasted malt, maltose syrup and hops. 17°

Dark brown with red highlights and a nice tan head. Aroma is very sweet with vanilla, roasted notes, and wood. Flavor is dark fruit, coffee, bourbon, and chocolate. Feel is thick, powdery, and pleasant. Having been disappointed by some of this brewers other offerings, I find this to be a unique and quality beer.

Pours dark brown with ruby highlights. The sweet chocolate and toffee flavors are well balanced with hops. No lingering flavors.

Very smooth Baltic style Porter. Chocolate notes blend well with coffee and toffee. A medium bodied ale with a sweet finish, and has traces of dark fruit and bannana esters. Much less burnt and robust flavors than its American counterparts.

Dark black in colour with big toffee coloured head. Fruity chocolate flavours, hint of cinimmon. Not bad.

Bottle. Thanks Luke! Pours stout black with tan head. Aroma of hops, roasted malt, dark fruits. Nice mouthfeel. Seems like a pretty decent representation of this style.

By far my favorite porter so far, this beer is a constant bombardment of flavors. Each sip tastes different from the last, whether it is offering a mouthful of coffee, a mouthful of toffee, a mouthful of nutmeg, a mouthful of caramel, it just continues. If Trappists made a porter, it would be like this.

Bottle from Kalinka shop Prague 6 for 1,4 Euro.: Chocolate, roasty aroma, black, brown foam, frothy, heavy cloying sweetness, lightly bitter, full body, thick feel, soft carbonation, long finish, too sweet for me, but good

Pint bottle. My first from Russia. Pours a clear dark brown with a thin tan head. Nose is roasty malts a caramel. Taste is chocolate, roast, sweet molasses and ash. Medium, fairly flat mouth feel. A decent porter.
